Nigeria gets ready for U19 Division 1
The Nigeria U19 cricket team returned from Swaziland earlier this week after winning the ICC Africa U19 Division 2 Championships in Swaziland.

The team defeated Gambia, Rwanda, hosts Swaziland, and Mozambique to qualify for the final round of the ICC Africa U19 Division 1 that will take place in Namibia beginning 29 August 2010.

It will join Sierra Leone, Zambia, Tanzania, Botswana and Kenya to qualify for the ICC U19 Cricket World Cup Qualifier

President of Nigeria Cricket Federation, Kwesi Sagoe said on 234Next.com: "The team has done the country proud with its performance on and off the field. This is a wonderful performance and I believe the team will form the nucleus of the senior national team in the next two years or so."
Sagoe said the team would begin a closed camping exercise in Lagos from 10-19 August. It will then head on to South Africa for additional training before the tournament in Namibia.
