Namibia to bank on pace attack

Gerrie Snyman is an explosive performer with the bat
Cricket Namibia have named a 13-man squad for the final league game in the ICC Intercontinental Shield against Uganda from 18-21 September.

While fast bowler Kola Burger has decided to come out of retirement, paceman Bjorn Kotze has recovered from a knee injury. Burger, Kotze and Louis Klazinga are expected to form the core of the pace attack against Uganda at Windhoek.

The batting will revolve around Burger brothers Sarel and Louis with Gerrie Snyman providing the explosive touch to the team led by Craig Williams.

The winner of the match will qualify for the ICC Intercontinental Shield final against the United Arab Emirates, which is scheduled to take place in November.

Team: Raymond van Schoor, Ewald Steenkamp, Sarel Burger, Craig Williams (captain), Louis Burger, Gerrie Snyman, Bjorn Kotze, LP vd Westhuizen, Tobie Verwey, Louis Klazinga, Kola Burger, Bernard Scholtz, Wessel Myburgh.
