Jimmy Kamande will lead the squad at their training camp
Cricket Kenya has named an 18-man squad to participate in a three week training camp at the High Performance Centre, Pretoria, from Sunday 7 November until Sunday 28 November.
The camp will provide preparation for the team ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011.
National coach Eldine Baptiste said: 'The training camp will be a crucial part of our preparations for the World Cup. That is not to say that the final 15 man squad will come from this group as we have some players unavailable for the camp who are still very much in our thoughts. These include senior players like Seren Waters and Steve Tikolo who are overseas and some of our younger up and coming players who have study commitments.
'We will be working on all aspects of our game in excellent facilities and we have the additional benefit of Jonty Rhodes joining us for two weeks to pass on his knowledge, experience and expertise.'
The squad is as follows:
Jimmy Kamande (captain), David Obuya, Collins Obuya, Alex Obanda, Rakep Patel, Tanmay Mishra, Runish Gudhka, Morris Ouma, Ragheb Aga, Thomas Odoyo, Nehemiah Odhiambo, James Ngoche, Hiren Varaiya, Elijah Otieno, Peter Ongondo, Nelson Odhiambo, Alfred Luseno, Shem Ngoche
