Seychelles coach Ramesh Venkateswaralu believes that his side's preparations are going well for the ICC Africa Division 3 event which begins in Ghana on 24 February.
The event will form part of the qualifying structure for the ICC World Twenty20 2012.
"The players are training hard as this being a historic event for Seychelles Cricket. We train six days a week concentrating on physical fitness and other aspects of the game. We looking forward to be part of this ICC event and fired up to perform well on our first participation. We are quite confident that we will put up a good show and come out among the top teams in this division," said Venkateswaralu.
Seychelles will be battling the likes of Cameroon and Rwanda for a promotion spot to ICC Africa Division 2, but Venkateswaralu admitted he is looking forward to even having the chance to qualify for the ICC World Twenty20 2012.
"I am quite thrilled and excited to be part of this ICC event and we want to achieve the best possible results to move on the next big stage."
