Skipper Visu Sibanda followed his first innings double century with an unbeaten 116 runs in 172 balls to help Zimbabwe XI snatch a five-wicket victory in its ICC Intercontinental Cup 2009-10 match against Kenya on the fourth and final day at the Kwekwe Sports Club, Kwekwe on Saturday.
Sibanda was well supported by Chamu Chibhabha (64) as the hosts cruised to victory in 62.5 overs despite an early scare where Zimbabwe XI lost two quick early wickets in the fifth over with just 24 runs on the board.
Kenya, which had earlier conceded a 19-run first innings, was bowled out for 254 runs in its second innings shortly before stumps to set Zimbabwe XI 236 runs victory target.
Zimbabwe XI now earns 20 points to share second place with Afghanistan and Kenya on 23 points and just six points behind leader Scotland.
