Phillips all-round heroics send Nigeria top
Sean Pillips of Nigeria hits out
Nigeria and Botswana moved to the top of the ICC Africa Division 2, with Tanzania and Ghana in close pursuit, on an exciting day in the latest qualifying event for the ICC World Twenty20 2012.

The highlight of the day was a brilliant century by Nigeria's Sean Phillips, who hit 109 not out off just 59 balls, including six fours and eight sixes, against Sierra Leone, surviving a dropped chance when he was just 3.

Phillips couldn't stay out of the game in the field and took 4-17 with the ball as Nigeria recorded an excellent 68-run win.

In the afternoon, Phillips also starred in Nigeria's seven-wicket win over Ghana, hitting 39 with the bat, to put his side in a strong position in its efforts for promotion.

Elsewhere, Obed Harvey was the star for Ghana in its morning match against Swzialand as he scored a remarkable 58 off just 16 balls, including a half century from just 12 balls, in a 33-ruin victory!

In other games Tanzania defeated Malawi by 105 runs, Botswana beat Swaziland by nine wickets and Mozambique defeated Rwanda by 30 runs.
