Eagles to face Mountaineers in Zimbabwe T20 final
Ryan ten Doeschate
Ryan ten Doeschate inspired Mashonaland Eagles to victory in their qualifying final against Matabeleland Tuskers to reach Sunday's Stanbic Bank 20 final.

The Netherlands international hit 121 not out to set up a 23-run victory on the Duckworth/Lewis method.

Ten Doeschate's innings spanned off 58 balls and included eight sixes along with four other boundaries. The right-hander moved from 90 to 102 with successive sixes off Keith Dabengwa.

Rory Hamilton-Brown's 26 was the Eagles next highest individual score in a total of 207-7.

Chris Gayle got the reply off to a good start with 51 off 31 balls but when he was dismissed at the end of the eighth over his team were falling behind the rate. Fellow opener Tom Smith fell at the start of the next over to leave the Eagles well on top.

Steven Trenchard (56 not out off 31 balls) and Paul Horton (21 off 14 balls) struck out gallantly but when bad light ended the innings after 18 overs there were still 46 needed off 12 balls, giving the Eagles a comfortable D/L win.

Mountaineers beat the Tuskers in the first qualifying final on Friday to book their place in the Final.

Phil Mustard (44 off 24 balls) and Hamilton Masakadza (80 not out) saw the Mountaineers to victory with four balls and seven wickets in hand.
