A debut victory for St. Helena
St Helena vs Cameroon
St. Helena outplayed Cameroon to register a win its first-ever international match on the opening day of the Pepsi ICC Africa Division 3 match on Wednesday.

Cameroon opted to bat first and but was bowled out for 36 runs. G. Coleman took 5 wickets for 8 runs and was the chief destroyer for the islanders on the opening day. St. Helena reached the target in 6.1 overs to record an emphatic victory.

Zambia who are returning after an absence of a year beat a keen Moroccan team by six wickets on a cold overcast day at the Sahara Park Willowmoore 'C' Field. I. Mohammed took 3 wickets for 12 runs in Morocco's total of 75 for 6. Zambia knocked off the runs in 13.2 overs with I. Galiya scoring 22* of 23 balls leading the way.

A keenly contested match between Seychelles and Gambia took place on the Sahara Park Willowmoore 'A' Field. Seychelles batted first and scored 122 from its allotted 20 overs. Good contributions came from J. Ratnianake 24 off 46 and T. Horpinitch 23 off 19. Gambia's A. Contaeh took 4 for 23. Gambia started fairly well being 62 for 4 in the 11th over then K. Patel dismissed the lower order taking 3 for 12 off his 4 overs.
Seychelles won by 32 runs.

Rwanda lost the toss and was sent in by Mali in a shortened 18-over match on the Sahara Park Willowmoore 'B' Field. E. Dusingizimana was the main contributor scoring 41 off 55 balls The youthful Rwanda attack then restricted Mali to a 62 for 6 to help score a 47 runs win.

On the Sahara Park Willowmoore ‘B’ Field, in an after lunch match between Cameroon and Seychelles, Cameroon won the toss and duly sent Seychelles in for batting. Seychelles struggled on a soft wicket and managed to score 71 in its allotted 20 overs.

Cameroon made a concerted effort to chase down the runs on a soft wicket and fell five runs short. A valiant effort by R. Abad 21 of 53 balls could not save his side from defeat.

At the main oval of the Sahara Park Willowmoore Stadium, Gambia won the toss and elected to bat against Rwanda. Gambia scored 122 for 8 with A. Yadav getting 64 not out Rwanda required 11 runs an over in the last 5 overs but fell short of the Gambia total by
12 runs. A. Kayitera 42 and S. Vardhineni 20 not out batted well in a losing cause Gambia won a very exciting game.

On the ‘A’ Field of Sahara Park Willowmoore Mali elected to field against Morocco. Morocco scored 100 with A. Larracussi scoring 26. S. Sessoko captured 3 for 24 runs. Mali managed to score 76 runs with M. Montassis 3 for 13. Morocco won by 24 runs.

Sahara Park Willowmoore ‘C’ Field witnessed the clash between St. Helena and Zambia where St. Helena won the toss and elected to field. Zambia scored 108 all out in 18.5 overs with Sarfraz Patel scoring 24 of 22 balls. B.George 3 for 23 and A. Coleman 2 for 17 were the chief wicket takers. In the ensuing run chase St. Helena struggled to score the runs and were bowled out for
71 with I. Mohamed taking 3 for 22 and S. Yousuf 2 for 15 Zambia won by 37 runs and remain unbeaten on day one.
