Kenya battle to avoid defeat after Snyman double ton
Gerrie Snyman hit an unbeaten double century
Namibia piled on the runs on day three of their ICC Intercontinental Cup match against Kenya at Windhoek.

Resuming on 343-4, Nambia reached 630-7 before declaring during the afternoon session - a first innings lead of 326.

Kenya closed the day in their second innings on 109-2 - still trailing by 217.

Namibia batsman Gerrie Snyman had earlier advanced his overnight 53 to 201 not out off just 192 balls with 22 fours and seven sixes.

The right-hander was given excellent support by Nicolaas Scholtz (66) in a sixth-wicket partnership of 172.

Christi Viljoen (30 off 22 balls) and Christi Viljoen (22 not out off 16 balls) hit out well towards the end as Namibia piled on the misery.

Nelson Odhiambo was the pick of the bowlers with 3-93.

Kenya were left with the task of needing to bat for much of what amounted to 38 overs and tomorrow’s final day to give themselves a chance of avoiding defeat.

Irfan Karim (59 not out) and Alex Obanda (30) started brightly before the latter fell with the score on 48.

Off-spinner Ian Opperman bowled a tidy spell up to the close of 1-12 in seven overs and took the second wicket to fall when he bowled Duncan Allan for six.
