After losing its opening game of the Twenty20 Tri-series against Scotland, Kenya recorded a comfortable ten-wicket victory over the same team in the third match of the tournament played at Gymkhana Club Ground, Nairobi on Monday.
Kenya tightened the screws early on as Scotland crumbled under tight bowling and fielding pressure to be restricted to 109-9 in 20 overs. Majid Haq provided some late order fight back with his top contribution of 21 not out. Jimmy Kande was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 3-28.
In response, openers David Obuya (60) and Steve Tikolo (46) remained unbeaten to reach the target in just 12.3 overs without any loss of wicket.
Kenya will next take on Uganda at Nairobi Gymkhana on Tuesday. The tournament acts as a warm-up series for Kenya and Scotland ahead of the ICC World Twenty20 2010 Qualifiers to be held in UAE in February where eight teams will battle it out for two spots that will lead them to the ICC World Twenty20 2010 tournament in the Caribbean.
