Pepsi ICC Africa Development Award winners announced for 2009

ICC Africa has announced its regional winners for the Pepsi ICC Africa Development Programme Awards for 2009.
Namibia picked up the 'Best Spirit of Cricket Initiative', 'Best Overall Cricket Development Programme' and the 'Volunteer of the Year Award' to Wynand Louw. Uganda also picked three awards with 'Best Overall Cricket Promotion & Marketing', 'Photo of the Year' and the 'Lifetime Service Award' to Abram Kitumba Lutaya.
The'Best Women's Cricket Initiative' was won by Mozambique while Botswana took home the 'Best Junior Cricket Initiative' award.
The Africa regional award winners will now join winners from the four other Pepsi International Cricket Council (ICC) Development Programme Regions at the ICC Global Awards.
The ICC Development Programme Awards were established to recognize exceptional performance and service to the game of cricket in all Associate and Affiliate Member countries, and aims to recognize these contributions among all levels of cricket development.
